BUSH: DON'T BELIEVE REVISIONIST HISTORY ABOUT W'S LIES

The Conservative spin machine in now ginning up the Big Lie that W never said that Saddam was an "imminent" threat, or that he had ties with al-Qaeda.

Both are bald-faced lies. Though W may not have used the word "imminent" (after all, he probably does not know what it means), he sure did tell us again and again that we could not wait any longer to take on Saddam. That's what an "imminent threat" is all about.

And the notion that he never linked Saddam with al-Qaeda is just ludicrous.

As we all know, these were outright lies. They are the WORSE kind of lies as these lies were used to mobilise the nation for war. To persuade parents to send their sons and daughters to die. For a LIE.

It isn't the type of broken promise kind of LIE in which politicians make promises to get elected and then don't follow through. They were thought out, manufactured, deliberate LIES to mobilise the nation for war.

Imagine how well his drive for war against Iraq would have gone if he had said in those speeches "He has no connections with Al Queada"?

To lie so shamefacedly and to lie for the very worst possible reasons, is nothing short of criminal. It also begs the question, if Dubya has lied about this, what else has he lied about? September 11? His ties with Osama? The reasons for war with both Iraq and Afghanistan? The list is endless. How can this man, and I use the term loosly, be trusted to say anything else and be believed?

It is beyond us how ANYONE can still be giving the corrupt and vile usurpers of our government the benefit of MILLIONS of doubts. The
long train of abuses" they have inflicted upon the entire world makes their motives and their amorality more than explicit.

Let us hope that the masses can be brought about before the Bushites put an end to them.

LOOKING PRESIDENTIAL

The Bushites are cackling over Howard Dean's gaffe last Tuesday night. They are watching the Democrats do their work for them.

The rap on Dean right now is a result of the conservative-controlled dynamics of the whole political enterprise. Why are Democrats so concerned with "electability" (i.e., performance that doesn't ruffle any feathers, that doesn't get in anyone's face)? Because that's what Republicans keep drumming into the media-soaked consciousness--no one who isn't "presidential" stands a chance against Maximum Leader.

Was W presidential in the last campaign? Not at first, when his vicious smirk was all over the place, and his stupid reasoning processes were evident in his every utterance. But the Republicans trained their chimp not to show so much meanness on his face, and not to get rattled by questions he couldn't anwer (i.e., most questions), and not to speak except to mouth well-rehearsed tag lines. That--combined with the unbelievable cowardice of the media in not confronting his laughable "qualifications," and not exposing his horrendous record of governmental abuse in Texas, and not looking into his despicable beahvior in the past--made him acceptable to the public.

What the Dean flap shows is that Americans don't want genuineness in their candidates. They want the appearance of genuineness, which seems to mean looking pleasant, firm, and positive.

What did Dean do to break that image? It wasn't so much the screaming (although it did go on WAY too long); but it was the look on his face. The way he squinted his eyes and showed his teeth (both primate indications of hostility) showed too much anger to conform to the coolness required by "presidentiality."

The fact that cool rationality cannot stand up against intentional, amoral evil seems to be lost on most of the populace, who have some pathological need (the same need that makes them look to an all powerful, father-like God for protection) not to see the "long train of abuses" (John Locke and the Declaration of Independence) that have made the intent of this "government" quite clear: the subjugation of the people to the interests of the wealthy.

If the Democrats abjure anger; if they run bland-as-blancmange Kerry because of his "presidential" mien; if they nip at W's heels on policy issues; then they don't stand much of chance of beating him unless something external to the campaign reveals him and his handlers for the tyrants that they are. And with the media determined to hide most of the truth about their actions from the people, there isn't much chance of that happening.

(A sidenote: inexplicably, NBC has started running stories pointedly critical of the Bushites. Two nights ago, Andrea Mitchell did a point-by-point comparison of the WMD and al-Qaida Iraq claims made by W and the junta before the war with the findings after the war. On and on she asked experts, "They said X. Was anything found?" And every time the answer was, "No. Nothing." Last night, the NBC news portayed the "upbeat assessments" that come out from the military commanders every time there is an insurgent attack as entirely incredible. Is this the beginning of shift against W from the corporate media barons who put him where he is? What is the motivation for such a change in tone after three years of minimizing every horrible action taken by the Bushites? It's baffling.)

Dean's Unpresidentiality

Whatever Dean's drawbacks, and regardless of whether he is the eventual nominee, he did a great service to the nation in a time of great darkness. When virtually no one else would stand up and point to the emperor's lack of clothing; when most of his opponents in the primaries were covering their politcal butts by voting to give W powers that he never should have been let near; when nearly everyone was cowering under the threat of "terror" and crying out for big daddy to save them by beating someone up; Dean stood up for the truth, took on W, rallied the anti-war sentiment of uncowed Americans to him, and encouraged the righteous anger of all those who see clearly the corruption that has infected our government through the Bushites and the deceitful "morality" espoused by their "conservatism."

Dean kept that indignation smoldering through a long, dark night of near hopelessness. Perhaps it will be able to survive long enough now to see the undoing of those who usurped our government and turned it to their own personal and political purposes, as the stupid and doomed war in Iraq spirals downward into failure and the economy begins to collapse under the weight of giveaways to to the rich. Perhaps it will be ready to catch fire when the one little breeze of an undeniable scandal finally makes its way into the mainstream media.

Even if Howard Dean is no longer tending the fire when this happens, he will deserve the thanks of a grateful nation for saving it from its own cowardice in turning to a dictator to assauge its fears.

BUSH: HOW MANY NEW HORRORS ARE COMING?

W's handlers have created the worst president American has ever seen. More lasting damage has been done to this nation in three years than in any crisis it has ever survived. Indeed, it may not survive the evils of this administation's purely selfish and greedy policies, let alone their illegitimate hijacking of democracy.

At Democrats.com, Bob Fertik and his associates have compiled years' worth of factual information and news detailing and cataloguing the horrors perpetrated by the Bushites on the American people. Much of it is news that has been surpressed or distorted by the conservative-controlled media so as to let W continue to play the role of a "leader" instead of what he actually is: a dictator.

BUSH: SOMEONE FINALLY CALLING THE LIAR OUT

Everyone ought to read the op-ed by Sen. Edward Kennedy in today's Washington Post.

Finally someone with intelligence and writing style has put down in a succinct argument the vileness of W's rush to war in Iraq. This piece is easily graspable by anyone with a functioning intellect. It should become the basis of all Democratic candidates criticisms of W. But given the Democrats' current lack of vision and effete aversion to anger and righteous indignation, it is unlikely that they will take it up.

Hussein's brutal regime was not an adequate justification for war, and the administration did not seriously try to make it one until long after the war began and all the false justifications began to fall apart. There was no imminent threat. Hussein had no nuclear weapons, no arsenals of chemical or biological weapons, no connection to Sept. 11 and no plausible link to al Qaeda. We never should have gone to war for ideological reasons driven by politics and based on manipulated intelligence.

Vast resources have been spent on the war that should have been spent on priorities at home. Our forces are stretched thin. Precious lives have been lost. The war has made America more hated in the world and made the war on terrorism harder to win. As Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge said in announcing the latest higher alert: "Al Qaeda's continued desire to carry out attacks against our homeland is perhaps greater now than at any point since September 11th."

The most fundamental decision a president ever makes is the decision to go to war. President Bush violated the trust that must exist between government and the people. If Congress and the American people had known the truth, America would never have gone to war in Iraq. No president who does that to our country deserves to be reelected.

The Democrats should be pounding on this one fact: If W had gone before Congress in the fall of 2002 with his "Hussein is a bad guy" appeal instead of his fearmongering lies about Hussein's imminent threat to the our nation, HE WOULD NOT HAVE GOTTEN A SINGLE VOTE FOR THE WAR!

If it wouldn't have justified war then, it certainly can't justify war now.

It takes a lot to get us here at Bush Lunacy to actually hate someone. But W and his handlers have done what it takes and more to get us to that point.

The Bushites are not just wrong, not just misguided, not just selfish, not just short-sighted, not just foolish.

They are evil.

As was pointed out in Paul O'Neill's tell-all book about the Bush junta from the inside, The Price of Loyalty: George W. Bush, the White House and the Education of Paul O'Neill, the Bushites started planning to attack Iraq within ten days of W's inauguration. They had maps all made up showing how they would apportion the oil reserves among the various oil companies.

Is there any wonder Cheney wanted the workings of his Energy Task Force, made up almost entirely of oil company insiders, to be kept secret?

The Bushites have been using the nation's legal system, its judicial system, its enforcement agencies, and its foreign policy purely for their own personal benefit since the day they got power.

That is hateful. They are hateful, loathesome vermin. Comparison of W with Hitler and his Bushite handlers with the Nazis surrounding Hitler is the only analogy that begins to do justice to the evil that feeds their all-consuming selfishness and greed--selfishness so deep that it thinks nothing of sending young soldiers to die for profits, nothing of destroying the whole world for the bottom line of corporate fat-cats, and nothing of bastardizing democracy for the continuance of their ill-gotten power.

And if they continue to get their way, we are all doomed.

BUSH: THE NEW YEAR FROM HELL

The relentless evil that is Bushism is pressing forward into the new year--a year that will decide whether Americans still desire to live in freedom, or whether they have become so thoughtless and fearful that they prefer to live under tyranny.

The Bushites have spent three horrifying years destroying everything that was best about America. No law has hindered them, no tradition has reined them in, no sense of duty has stopped them from implementing the most far-reaching devastation on the public good. Not content to sacrifice the present for short-term political and economic gain, the Bushites have been more than willing to burden our children and our children's children with the bills for their profligacy.

The chimera of "trickle-down economics" still fills the minds of conservatives with visions of sugar plums. No need to distact them with the facts that no tax-cut regimen has ever produced any sustained gains in prosperity. (Even the much ballyhooed Kennedy tax cuts did nothing for a decade of basically flat economics; the Reagan tax cuts ushered in a decade of fiscal irresponsibility and deficits whose like had never been imagined until now.)

But it isn't bad enough that the Bushites have turned the nation over to corporate raiders and ruthless capitalist exploiters while destroying the social safety nets put in place by the New Deal, they also have begun a new age of American imperialism that had been almost unimaginable for a whole century. By adopting a principle of preemptive belligerence outside of the norms established by all civilized nations, the Bushites have turned the US into a tyrannical behemoth that well deserves ignominy.

And now Richard Perle, one of the evil neo-con achitects of the invasion of Iraq, has produced a book with David Frum, the creator of the phrase "axis of evil." They are calling for swift "regime change" in Iran and Syria, and a blockade of North Korea with preemptive strikes on its nuclear facilities. (Here is the link: New-Con Hawks Call for More War.)

These neo-con fascists long ago embraced a vision of America as the New Rome or the Fourth Reich--as an empire that uses force rather than diplomacy and the rule of law. Ivo Dalder, a fellow at the Brookings Institute, last week called Bushite foreign policy simply a determination by the US to get ahead in the world by doing whatever it can, instead of by doing what it should.

A more anti-American, and unchristian, policy is hardly imaginable.

The evil of such policies is not lost on most of the world's people. Last year around this time, Peter Jackson, the director of the phenomenally successful Lord of the Rings movies, was being interviwed by Charlie Rose. Rose though it was erceptive of him to compare the story of hobbits saving Middle-Earth from the evil lord Sauron to the current world situation. What he had in mind was America battling the forces of "terrorism" around the world, fighting this great, mindless evil wherever and however it had to.

Jackson, however, wasn't buying. As he saw it, the proper application of the story was that the force of evil now tring to take over the world was the United States. And he thought that most people in the world saw it that way.

Rose was shocked. For the first time ever, he was speechless. Perhaps he was seeing his career pass before his eyes. The was not long after Bill Maher was fired by ABC for criticising the Bush war fever, and the pro-Bushite, conservative-controlled media was in full swing trying to downplay or discredit all opposition to Bush's war. Rose bumbled around while Jackson got out a few more statements about the evil of the Bush junta, then he cut to a commercial.

Even if Americans continue to delude themselves about their complicity in the evil of their unelected leaders, the rest of the world has our number.

And there is no need to wonder where such concentrated evil comes from. It comes from conservatism, which is the most divisive, hareful, and warping force in the world today. The education of a conservative is designed to turn out little monsters--and it does. Little Georgy Bush and his handlers are the fruits of this twisted upbringing.

Under the guise of morality, conservatism teaches intolerance; under guise of competitve spirit, it teaches ruthlessness; under the guise of individualism, it teaches selfishness; under the guise of business leadership, it teaches rapine; under the guise of independence, it teaches indifference; under the guise of patriotism, it teaches supremacy.

With the products of such twisted education now firmly ensconced in the seats of power, is it any wonder that the past three years have been terrible? And that the prospect for the coming year is even bleaker?

There is only one New Year's resolution that matters this year, for if we do not keep it, the world will turn the last corner into a dark and dismal chapter of tyranny and opression from which it may never emerge. That resolution: to turn W, his handlers, and his minions out of power in November, so that the decent people of America can begin to regain control of their nation, and return it to the benevolent, shining light among the nations that it was beginning to grow into, before that destiny was so brutally smothered by the dark forces of black conservatism.

Only in this way will there be any hope for future happy New Years.
